Client Services Specialist

The Spot seeks an enthusiastic Client Services Specialist to be a key member of our staff. This person is the “right-hand man” to the director, will support the staff and act as a key contact person for day-to-day studio activity.

Job Summary:

  • Attend to customer service needs: answer multitudes of phone calls and emails; administer MindBody Online (database software); keep customer accounts accurate and up to date Work closely with the directory to resolve customer needs and complaints
  • Manage membership contracts; collects overdue accounts; 
  • Process sign-in sheets
  • In-person sales & registration
  • Membership recruitment: follow up on special offers and upsells
  • Responsible for special touches: Birthday cards, first visit cards, new member cards
  • Retail: re-stocking, inventory, promotion
  • Class confirmation follow-up
  • Check email, answer questions
  • Community building and outreach
  • Work consistently with our online program, MindBodyOnline (MBO), to register students, schedule classes, process payments and manage memberships
  • Assist director to implement marketing plan

  • Available 4-5 evenings per week to serve as front desk coverage during popular classes, some mornings and at least 2 weekends/month for events, workshops, or other classes.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and also to collaborate in group process
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google products, databases, social media and search engines
  • The following skills and experiences are a plus:
  • Familiarity with and/or willingness to master MindBodyOnline software
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact for mass emailing
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks for employee payroll and expense documentation

Starting Salary:

  • $10/hr + potential for bonuses based on performance

Position Summary: As a bartender, you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. A guest’s dinner and/or bar experience should be equally enjoyable and you play a major role in the overall picture. You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Display integrity, initiative, and honesty in all aspects of your employment.

Major Responsibilities: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Welcome each guests personally within 30 seconds.
  • Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.
  • Work as a team with all of The Spot’s staff in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
  • Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to The Spot’s standards at all times.
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes.
  • Ring drink orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change.
  • Wash and sterilize glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
  • Be attentive! Offer your assistance before the guests has to ask for it.
  • Keep track of number of drinks guests are served.
  • Anticipate your guest’s needs. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest so they know you will be right with them.
  • Responsible service of alcohol.
