The Pilates Method is a conditioning program that works to educate balance and muscles of the body in a low-impact way. The exercises strongly focus on the core and works muscles in a lengthened capacity to increase flexibility, decompress joints and create elongated and toned muscles. Practicing Pilates improves breath, alignment and overall posture.
This Beginner Mat Pilates class will incorporate work with fundamentals, the Classic Series and accessories like the strap and Magic Circle. If you are curious about Pilates and want to start from the beginning before jumping into our drop-in classes, or are currently taking class but interested in more in-depth information about the work, this is a great foundation series.
