Cocktails & Culture: Goodbye Gauley Mountain: An Ecosexual Love Story Film Screening and Discussion With Cynthia Belmont

  • The Spot 116 N 14th Ave E Ashland, WI, 54806 United States

Protest and sexuality come together in this 70-minute rollicking documentary following campaigning ‘ecosexuals’ Beth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle. Arriving in the Appalachian mountains of West Virginia to protest against the environmentally harmful practice of MTR (mountain top removal), which involves blowing up the local environment, they preach their doctrine of “Earth as lover”, they quite literally embrace the natural world, and look to rally people to their cause. Bringing sensuality and spirit to the environmental movement, Goodbye Gauley Mountain is a sex-tinged take on sticking it to the man.

We will have a Red Veggie Curry in addition to our regular menu items.
