Charmaine Swan, Director, RYT 200
TRX Suspension Training
Charmaine started teaching yoga in 2007 and has continued to train with Scott Anderson and Collette Stewart in Madison, Wis. She enjoys helping her students learn how to move more efficiently and with less pain.
TRX Suspension Training®
Sarah's love for physical fitness and sharing that love with others has been a passion of hers since she was young. Her ability to inspire and help children find confidence in being active led her to becoming a physical education teacher. This passion now overflows into her classes at the Spot.
Sarah holds a BS degree from University of WI, Superior in Physical Education, minor in health and coaching speciality in Track and Field and Volleyball. She also holds accredited certifications in Water Safety Instruction WSI, Spinning®, TRX Suspension Training®, and Boot Camp Instruction.
Val Damstra, RYT 200
Val obtained her her 200-hour Alignment Yoga Teacher Certification with Scott Anderson in August 2013. She is particularly interested in working with students on how to integrate regular yoga practice into their daily activities.

Amy Zak, Studio Manager
Amy keeps the studio running along smoothly. If you are a new to the studio, expect a few emails from her checking in with you about your experience.
When Amy is not working or in spin class, she is a busy mom of 3 kids. Enough said. :)
Sarah Tarkington, RYT 500
Sarah has been practicing yoga for over a decade. She is grateful to have sampled a large variety of yoga practices and learned from a diverse group of excellent teachers. Other movement arts such as modern dance and belly dance have also been part of her past movement explorations. Sarah completed her RYT 200-hr and 500-hr Teacher Training Program in 2013 at Yoga North in Duluth.
Terri Kramolis is a certified Group Fitness instructor and a lifelong fitness enthusiast. Terri has been strength training for years and has been a competitive weightlifter. Terri believes that strength training is essential for overall health and fitness and has taught Body Pump, Lift & Tone, and Core Fitness classes for more than twenty years.

Born and raised in Ashland, WI Jay McDonald has over 20 years’ of endurance racing experience. He enjoys working with the beginning novice as much as the experienced. When Jay is not training or racing he enjoys exploring the trails around his new home in Iron River, WI or hanging out on the lake walk in Ashland.

TRX Suspension Training
When introduced to TRX suspension training in March 2012, she was hooked after just a few sessions. The ease of use for any and all fitness levels, as well as the rapid results Shawna saw, created a passion for everything TRX. After taking TRX classes for just over a year, Shawna was inspired to become a TRX qualified instructor so she could teach and share with others the great workouts and results that the TRX suspension trainer could offer.
Shawna is also a registered dental hygienist in Ashland.
Jenny Tumas, E-RYT500
Jenny Tumas has been teaching yoga since 2001, with a focus on breath, healthy alignment, and making yoga accessible to all bodies. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara in 2001, and her 500 hour training at Bay Area Yoga Center in Green Bay in 2011. She is also certified as a Relax & Renew Trainer through Judith Lasater in Restorative Yoga.
After living in Ripon, Wisconsin for 20 years, where she owned and managed her studio Marigold Yoga for ten years, she is excited to have recently moved to Bayfield be closer to family and explore the natural beauty of the area.
Jesi has over 10 years of experience as a Fitness Instructor in Eau Claire, WI teaching various classes such as Body Pump, Body Attack, Cycle and Step.
She has an energetic and people driven approach that will make you feel welcome when you walk in and have you looking forward to her next class when you walk out.
Lynda loves to dance as much as she loves to teach! She thought it might be fun to teach people how to do some (old school) hip hop dance moves. A historian by trade, Lynda is obsessed with the past. She loves revisiting the past and all it has to offer--music as well as trends. Lynda lives in Washburn with her husband and daughter.
Meghan Salmon Tumas, RYT 200
Meghan was originally drawn to yoga for stress management. After years of dabbling, she committed to regular practice in 2008. When living in Boston, she studied Ashtanga yoga with Dominic Corigliano and Kate O'Donnell. This daily practice helps her to maintain calm and balance in life, as well as stay injury-free while pursuing other activities she loves, such as running, skiing, rock climbing, and toddler wrangling. Her additional passions include ayurveda, meditation, and science. She completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training in 2014 at Marigold Yoga in Ripon, WI.
